The Needs & Deeds Protocol
The Heart of OneFamily.uno: Structured, Reliable Mutual Support
A simple system that connects people who need help with those who can provide it
How It Works
1. Share Your Need
Post what you need help with in seconds. Whether it's moving furniture, learning a skill, or needing emotional support, your Family Cell is here for you.
2. Offer Your Deed
List your skills and availability. From cooking to carpentry, transportation to tutoring - share what you can give to your community.
3. Get Connected Automatically
Our Pre-Connection Engine analyzes needs and deeds, suggesting 3-5 potential connections before your weekly gathering. The Host verifies high-trust requests.
4. Complete & Unlock ORE
After completing a deed, the beneficiary confirms how much time the help took. This unlocks ORE from the helper's received balance into spendable ORE, builds trust through ratings, and strengthens the community. Learn more about ORE.
Why the Protocol Works
Structured & Reliable
No more vague promises. Clear requests, automatic connecting, and accountability ensure help actually happens.
Balanced Reciprocity
The system tracks contributions through ORE (life hour currency) and Reciprocity Scores. Everyone gives and receives fairly, creating a healthy, sustainable community where your time has measurable value.
Built-in Trust
Host verification, peer ratings, and trust levels ensure safety and quality in every interaction.
Dead Simple
Post a need in 30 seconds. Offer a deed in under a minute. Get connected automatically. It just works.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common Questions About Needs & Deeds
What is the Needs & Deeds Protocol?
- It is the structured system that connects members who need help with members who can provide it. Each member can post a Need (a request for help) or a Deed (an offer to help). The protocol matches them, the Host confirms the connection at the weekly meeting, and effort is logged afterward.
What is the difference between a Need and a Deed?
- A Need is something you are asking for: childcare, a ride, help with paperwork, an hour of someone's expertise. A Deed is something you are offering: the same kinds of help, from your side. Both take less than 30 seconds to post.
How are people matched?
- Before each weekly meeting, the pre-connection engine reviews open Needs and offered Deeds and suggests 3-5 likely matches based on category, location, time window, and trust signals. The Host reviews suggestions and members confirm in person. Matches are never imposed.
What if no one in my Cell can help with my Need?
- Unmet Needs stay in the queue and are re-suggested the following week as new Deeds appear. For urgent matters, members can escalate within the Cell or, where Cells exist nearby, neighbouring Cells can offer help. No one has to navigate this alone.
How is the value of help recorded?
- After a connection completes, the person who received help confirms how much time the help took. The helper unlocks twice that amount in ORE through the Reciprocity Engine, and the receiver permanently invests that amount as a transparent contribution record.
What stops people from posting only Needs and never Deeds?
- Each member has a Reciprocity Score (ORE given divided by ORE received). The healthy range is 0.8 to 1.2. Members who drift well below 0.6 enter a gentle remediation flow with the Host, focused on understanding obstacles before any access change. The aim is balance, not punishment.
